Dear Members:

Because we are growing as an organization, we are running into issues that are new to us. One of these is how best to handle the publishing of the Trading Post. Since the personnel here at the office are the ones who put it together, we have intimate knowledge of the issues facing the publication.

We are running into situations where legitimate members with a short running ad are not getting access to this benefit due to: people who want the same ad run month after month, members who are trying to “help out” family and friends by placing ads for them, and lengthy ads. We feel like we are continually refusing members who have the same right to access as everyone else because of these reasons.

Since CCEA has always tried to make sure everyone has the same access to the same benefits, we came up with these guidelines as a way to make sure every member is treated equally. Most of what is in the guidelines is the same as it has always been, but there are some new additions we felt were necessary.

Miranda Ward, Office Mgr/CCEA

**New Rules & Policy Changes for the Trading Post**

Effective with the February 2007 edition

Ø       Entries are placed on a first come/first served/as space permits basis as always and there will be no guarantee that your entry will be printed.

Ø  There is a limit of 50 words per entry.  In order to contain costs, we must limit the printings to an 8½ x 11 page, front/back only.

Ø   Entries received over the 50 word limit will be returned for editing.  If it is not re-submitted in time it will not be included.  It is not the responsibility of CCEA or its employees to edit each entry in order to meet the requirements.

Ø   Late entries will not be included. No Exceptions.  Every attempt will be made to include late entries on the website edition.

Ø  Entries MUST include your full name, school and how I can reach you in case there are questions or problems or the entry will not be printed.  No Exceptions.

Ø  Only MEMBERS of CCEA and CASE may have an entry placed in the Trading Post.  The entry can not be submitted for non-members or other persons that are eligible for membership, however, if it is a DIRECT member benefit and for members only, the ad will be considered for publication at CCEA office staff’s discretion.

Ø  Only ads that directly affect the Member and/or their immediate household may be placed.  No entries will be placed for a member's friend, neighbor, family member, etc.  If they do not live in your household, the entry is not eligible for printing.

Ø   Unless otherwise stated when the entry is submitted, all ads will be run for no longer then one month.

Ø    Entries will be run for no more then three consecutive months.  After a one month hiatus it must be resubmitted for publication and will be subject to the first come/first served/as space permits guideline.

Ø    CCEA and its employees reserve the right to refuse any entry for submission to the Trading Post.

Ø    CCEA and its employees will not be responsible for typographical errors.  Entries are best submitted via email.

The Trading Post was originally created to help members supplement their income.  We feel that these changes are necessary in order to maintain the original goal of MEMBER support.  Thank you.
