Introducing…CCEA
The Carroll
County Education Association represents over
2,000 teachers, guidance counselors and registered
nurses employed by Carroll County Public Schools.
CCEA is an affiliate of the Maryland State Teachers
Association (MSTA),
which is as affiliate of the National Education
Association (NEA).
Our Purpose:
“The
purpose of CCEA is:
◊ to
work for the welfare of school children, the
advancement of education, and the improvement of
instruction of all.
◊
to
develop and promote the adoption of such ethical
practices, personnel policies and standards of
preparation and participation as mark a profession.
◊ to
unify and strengthen the teaching profession and to
secure and maintain the salaries, retirement,
tenure, professional and sick leave and other
working conditions necessary to support teaching as
a profession.
◊
to
enable members to speak with a common voice on
matters pertaining to the teaching profession and to
present their individual and common interests before
the Board of Education or other legal authority.

school system to compile Your Personnel File.
Maintain your own
records so that you can verify and document any
disputes that may arise over your salary, seniority,
leave, evaluation and other employee-related
matters. Use this folder to keep THIS YEAR’S
entries. At the end of the year, empty this folder
into a more permanent file drawer (or box then begin
again with the following year’s additions.
